Philly Fashion & Beauty Industry Networking Event Tuesday, March 24th
DVINITI Skin Care to Host Panel Discussion for Local Professionals
Open to all Philadelphia-based fashion and beauty professionals, the networking event will include a panel discussion led by industry leaders; featuring keynote speaker City Council member at large, Kathy Gilmore Richardson.
Sponsored by DVINITI Skin Care, the event will be held from 5pm to 8pm at The Panorama Club on the 45th floor of 1500 Locust Street in Center City Philadelphia.
The event follows Philly Fashion week and a successful meeting with the Council’s Committee on Global Opportunities and the Creative/Innovative Economy on February 19, which resulted in the formal establishment of the Philadelphia Fashion & Garment Industry Task Force.
“We’re so excited to host this event for Philly’s incredible fashion & beauty professionals,” says Marquita Robinson-Garcia, owner of DVINITI Skin Care. “I think many of us left the City Council meeting ready to hit the ground running, and this will be a great follow up to Philly Fashion Week to maintain the momentum.”
The Task Force was created to unite local fashion professionals and educators in categories ranging from design, retail, purchasing and manufacturing to beauty and personal care, creating a collective voice that will help strengthen the industry both locally and beyond. Its mission statement is “to reinforce the presence of fashion in Philadelphia in order to improve the local economy, create employment, provide educational opportunities and become a leader in sustainability.”
“This initiative is a perfect fit for us, because DVINITI is a locally-based beauty business already practicing many of the Task Force’s values, from our sustainable methods of using all natural ingredients and producing small batches for minimized waste, as well as providing educational opportunities to students through internships.” said Robinson-Garcia.
The Philadelphia Fashion & Garment Industry Task Force has assumed the responsibility to conduct research and present analysis outlining the industry’s current local economic impact, its trajectory and future potential. The group’s recommendations will then be used to determine allocation of city resources to help meet the industry’s needs, which include retaining local talent, increasing press coverage, establishing local sourcing, promoting entrepreneurial opportunity and connecting students and job seekers to seminars and training.
Join DVINITI Skin Care on Tuesday, March 24 to celebrate the success of the Task Force and support their efforts which will empower the Philadelphia fashion industry, local businesses and leaders, and the Greater Philadelphia economy.
Revolutionary Natural Skincare Brand DVINITI Selects Philadelphia as First US Location Following Success Online
City’s First Personal Skincare Design Studio to Open September 22nd

A chemical formulator and Philly native, Marquita Robinson-Garcia surprised her coworkers and family when she left her managerial role at DOW-DuPont in 2017. Having spent over a decade climbing the ladder in the chemicals industry - with a focus on beauty, she was at the peak of her career, advising major global brands like Chanel, NARS and bareMinerals. But she was on a mission to launch her own skin care line, and with a different approach—it would be completely natural and customized.
“I chose the name ‘DVINITI' to remind customers they’re already beautiful, and that the best way to enhance that beauty is to use the resources given to us by the Earth” says Robinson-Garcia. “Having worked extensively with both synthetic and natural ingredients, I can confidently say that natural products will give you equally effective—if not better—results. The beauty industry just needs to catch up with the changing marketplace. Consumers have become more conscious of the ingredients in the food they eat and the items they use. They want natural alternatives without all the chemicals” she explains.
“I also wanted to design formulas tailored to each customers’ unique needs. Everyone’s skin is different—I always tell my clients ‘your skin doesn’t fit in a box.’ That’s why when people tell me they have ‘problem skin,’ I tell them the problem isn’t their skin, it’s the ‘one-size-fits-all’ skin care products they’ve been using!”
DVINITI’s website features a quiz that helps users determine their “Unique Skin Profile” and points them to the products best suited for them. They also have the option to create a personal blend from scratch through a guided process that addresses their needs and preferences.
While personalized skin care products may sound unnecessary or expensive, Robinson-Garcia explains that it usually saves customers time, money and frustration they’re accustomed to with the usual trial- and-error approach, because it gets to the heart of their skin’s needs without unnecessary ingredients or products.
“When the personal blend became an instant success, I knew we had tapped into something. It was time to create a physical space where DVINITI expert skin technicians could provide even more personal attention, including a state-of-the-art digital scan. Skin care should be personal, simple and effective. Whether it’s in person or online, we will always emphasize the ‘care’ in ‘skin care’ by leading customers through the process.”
The Grand Opening is scheduled for Sunday, September 22nd from 2pm to 5pm at the Panorama Club Lounge on the 45th floor of 1500 Locust. The open house will include brunch for RSVP guests, a ribbon cutting ceremony attended by the The Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce, local government officials - PA State Representative, Jordan A. Harris as keynote speaker and Philadelphia City Council woman, Kathy Richardson-Gilmore; spokes model former Miss New Jersey USA, Vanessa Elise Baker, followed by tours of DVINITI’s new private Design Studio and a champagne toast on the roof deck overlooking Center City.
